Since September is National Sewing Month...

I thought I'd post a little about that!

A proclamation was made by President Ronald Reagan in 1982 declaring September as National Sewing Month “In recognition of the importance of home sewing to our Nation.”  NSM is heavily promoted by the Sewing & Craft Alliance and the American Sewing Guild.

Since then, National Sewing Month has become an excellent time to either learn about sewing or indulge your passion for sewing. There are many great places to start, such as online tutorials, your local fabric store may have classes, books, etc.

Gossip:  Every Tuesday in September Fabric.com will be paying tribute to different causes and offer great savings to celebrate National Sewing Month. This week is all about Sewing for Children.  Sale begins on Tuesday 09/06/11 and ends on 09/12/11 Midnight ET.
